[united press ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, September 16. Mr C. C. Bo wen, Chairman of the committee of the West Coast Railway gnarantors, has received a telegram from Mr A. Dobson announcing that he and his fellow delegate (Mr Fell, of Nelson) have arrived at Dunedin, in the R.M.S. Tongariro, and will reach Lyttelton to-morrow. The police have laid informations against a printer and two booksellers for breaches of the Printers and Newspapers Registration Act by selling copies of the Pall Mall Gazette's revelations, printed in Christchurch. The informations have nothing to do with the nature of the matter published, but are laid on the ground that the name and place of abode did not appear on the first aud last leaf of the pamphlet. Some shepherds who were recently burning tussocks on the edge of Lake Pukaki, in the Makeuzie country, state that about dusk one evening tbey observed a large black object, which they 'at first took to be a boat keel upwards. Port Chalmers, September IG. The s.s. Tongariro arrived at 10.15 p.m. yesterday, after a passage of 45 days, actual steaming time 42 days, four hours, three minutes. Among the passengers there are 150 nominated immigrants, principally for northern ports.
