SANDER & SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Deutsche Med Wochenschriffc 1879), ; Hosier, M.D. Professor at the UniverF sity, Griefswald, Germany, reports: — ; The Eucalypti Extract proved magnifii cently successful in very severe contu--1 sions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scald- ' ings, broken ribs, and limbs. It f effectually stays all inflammation and t swellings. Also, the services derived > from it in all disorders of the respiral tory organs, as croup, diphtheria, sn ; flammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, &c., are not to be equalled by any other ( medicament. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. Lister, M.D., Professor, &c., London, the leading surgeon of the present lime, > stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gail- } lard’s Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antiseptic (means of preventing putrefaction). . (From the Clinical Record, of August, 5 1881). —Surgical Clinic of Professor M‘lntyre, College of Physicians and J Surgeons, St. Louis Scirrhus of J Breast—Excision: Eucalypti Extract ! employed as spray, and dressing. Eight j days after operation Professors Bauer and M'lntyre noted the following condition :—No swelling, heat or discoloration, near or in the wound, which has 5 united fully; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again. f SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. 5 (Clinical Record, Sept. 1880). — The 5 American medical profession uses, in . gonorrhoea, as an injection, an etnul--5 sion of one ounce gum Arabic, in 30 or i 40 ounces of water, applied four times ■ daily. P 1882). —Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Pathology and Diseases of the Mind, states: We have examined half a dozen specimens of Eucalypti Extract. Sander’s preparation was the only one which corresponds to scientific tests. Our preparation is the existing volatile extract, free cf au resinous par* tides. All other preparations of the Eucalyptus, no matter where manufacI tured, are crude, resinous oils, irritating and blistering, rather causing inflamI mation than staying it, and of rea- ( danger if erronously applied in throa diseases, &c.
