Any person discovering new gold working, and being desirous of obtaining an increased area thereon shall mark off a prospecting claim, as provided in llegalation 11, and shall imreport such discovery with full particulars to the Warden, and the ground so marked off shall be protected Sntii the Warden shall have finally reuised or grunted the claim; but the "Warden may, if he think fit, refrain from granting or refusing such claim ■■until the ca'o unci shall have been visited by himself or by anyone appointed by him.
