The Kumara Times. Published Every Evening. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12, 1885.

We give to-day the concluding portion of our ri-porfc of the Hospital inquiry. In il Mr Dennis Hannan is reported to have said, in giving evidence, that, he gave us a copy of a letter he wrote to be handed to the Government on the subject. As the decision of the Resident Magistrate in the case Monckton

v. the Hospital Committee was pending at the time, we suggested to Mr Hannan that as it was not usual to comment on a case whilst the matter was under the law, it would be imprudent to insert it until the Magistrate had given his decision. This was our reason for suppressing another letter taking an opposite view of the question to Mr Hannan.
