ANDER & SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Deutsche Med Wochenschriffc 1879), M osier, M.D. Professor at the University, Griefswald, Germany, reports: — The Eucalypti Extract proved magnificently successful in very severe contusions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scaldings, broken ribs, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiratory organs, as croup, diphtheria, m flammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, &c., are not to be equalled by any other medicament. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. Lister, M.D., Professor, &c., London, the leading surgeon of the present lime, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gail* lard’s Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antiseptic (means of preventing putrefaction). (From American Medical Journal, Jan., 1882). —Pitzer, M.D., Professor Theory and Practice of Medicine, American Medical College, says—lt is the best remedy known in typhoma larial, typhoid fever, erysipelas, diph theria, scarlet fever, srnall-pox, &c. ; it effectually retards the disintegration of the animal fluids, which might result in a general breaking-up of the blood and in death. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From St. Louis Electric Medical Journal, Dec., 1881). —Cancer of the Tongue—Patient, Mrs W , 35 years old. Evidence of scrofulous dia thesis. Prescribed four drops to l.p taken three times daily ; also, tongue wetted three times with the Eucalypti Extract. Treated as above for four weeks, then discharged cured. (J. H. Ruttley, M.D., Prof,, &c., Philadelphia).—Since, in the case of Mr Mercer, of Kerang, who had been advised by the medical officers of the Bendigo Hospital to have his tongue removed, like splendid results have attained through the application of the Eucalypti Extract. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From the Clinical Record, of August, 1881) —Surgical Clinic of Professor M'lntyre, College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis Scirrhns of Breast—Excision: Eucalypti Extract employed as spray, and dressing. Eight days after operation Professors Bauer and MHntyre noted the following condition :—No swelling, heat or tion, near or in the wound, which has united fully; the patient allowed to attend to her household duties again. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Clinical Record, Sept, 1880).—The American medical profession uses, in gonorrhoea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce gum Arabic, in 30 or 40 ounces of water, applied four times daily. Eight drops given inwardly, once daily, prevents effectually coru tamination of the blood in foul disease, CAUTION. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (St. Louis Clinical Record, Jan 1882) —Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Patho logy and Diseases of the Mind, states: We have examined half a dozen speed mens of Eucalypti Extract.
