The Winter Steeplechase meeting of the Victorian Racing Club was held at Flemington to-day. The two principal events resulted as follows : GRAND NATIONAL HURDLE RACE. Mr Hart's The Agent ... 1 Mr Laurie's Guardfish ... 2 Mr Knox's Cockboat ... 3 GIIAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE. Mr LonghhVs Wvmlet... 1 Mr Russell's Sailo'r ... 2 Mr Cohen's Denmark ... 3 Twelve horses started for this event, but the three placed horses were the only ones who finished the race. (Received July 20, 0.45 a.m.) Later. The official time for the V.R.C. Grand National Steeplechase is smins 19^secs.
