ANDER & SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Deutsche Med Wochenschrift 1879), Mosler, M.D. Professor at the Univer* sity, Griefswald, Germany, reports: — Ihe Eucalypti Extract proved magnificently successful in very severe contusions, bruises, sprains, wounds, scaldings, broken riba, and limbs. It effectually stays all inflammation and swellings. Also, the services derived from it in all disorders of the respiratory organs, as croup, diphtheria, inflammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs, chronic catarrh, bronchitis, colds, &c., are not to be equalled by any other medicament. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. Lister, M.D., Professor, &c., London, the leading surgeon of the present time, stated at the last meeting of the Clinical Society, London, as published in Gail* lard’s Medical Journal, that the Eucalypti Extract is the best known antiseptic (means of preventing putrefaction). (From American Medical Journal, Jan., 1882). —Pitzer, M.D., Professor Theory and Practice of Medicine, American Medical College, says—lt is the best remedy known in typhomalarial, typhoid fever, erysipelas, diph theria, scarlet fever, small-pox, &c.; it effectually retards the disintegration of the animal fluids, which might result in a general breaking-up of the blood and in death. Prescribed four drops to bf taken three times daily ; also, tongue wetted three times with the Eucalypti Extract. Ti’eated as above for four weeks, then discharged cured. (J. H. Ruttley, M.D., Prof., <fec., Philadelphia).—Since, in the case of Mr Mercer, of Kerang, who had been advised by the medical officers of the Bendigo Hospital to have his tongue removed, like splendid results have attained through the application of the Eucalypti Extract. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (From the Clinical Record, of August, 1881) —Surgical Clinic of Professor MTntyre, College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis Scirrhus of Breast—Excision: Eucalypti Extractemployed as spray, and dressing. Eight days after operation Professors Bauer and M'lntyre noted the following condition :—No swelling, heat or discoloration, near or in the wound, which has united fully; the patient allowed to attend to heV household duties again. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (Clinical Record, Sept. 1880).—The American medical profession uses, in gonorrhoea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce gum Arabic, in 30 or 40 ounces of water, applied four times daily. Eight drops given inwardly, once daily, prevents effectually con* tamination of the blood in foul disease. CAUTION. SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. (St. Louis Clinical Record, Jan 1882) —Hazard, M.D. Prof, of Patho: logy and Diseases of the Mind, 'states: We have examined half a dozen sped mens of Eucalypti Extract. Sander’s preparation was the only one which corresponds to scientific tests. Our preparation is the onl" existing volatile extract, fi’ee of au resinous par< tides. All other preparations of the Eucalyptus, no mattei' where manufactured, are crude, resinous oils, irritating and blistering, rather cansing inflammation than staying it, and of rea : - danger if erronously applied in throa diseases, &c. No bottles genuine except those with labels bearing our signature and trad, in.u k, and secured outside with pink wrapper and green band, the latter bearing our location and signature.
