It ia understood in political circles that the Marquis of Salisbury has been successful in forming a new Cabinet, but the names of his colleagues have uot as yet been made public. (Received June 16, 7.45 p.m.) June 16. The Marquis of Salisbury has returned to town from Balmoral, and is still actively engaged in the formation of a Ministry. Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Connaught have arrived here to-day from India. June 15. The Orient Steam Navigation Company's steamship Garonne arrived at Plymouth to-day, from Australia. (Received June 17, 11.20 a.m.) Evening. Parliament is farther adjourned until Friday, the 19th inst., when Lord Salisbury hopes to be able to make a statement to the House of Lords as to the formation of a new Ministry. (Received June 17, 1 a.m.) Capetown, June 15. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamship Rimutaka left here yesterday afternoon for New Zealand. (Received June 16, 3 p.m.) Constantinople, June 13. The inhabitants of Crete have agreed, in consequence of the action of the European Powers, to accept Savas Pasha as Governor of the island ; and, the rebellion, which appeared imminent has thus been averted. (Received June 17, 11.20 a.m.) Madrid, June 15. The spread of the cholera in the country is causing great alarm here. A complete exodus of citizens is taking place consequently. Paris, June 15. The death is announced of Admiral Courbet, latterly commanding the French forces in Tonquin. Berlin, June 15. Prince Frederick Charles, nephew of the Emperor of Germany, died to-day, aged 57. Paris, June 14. The Grand Prix de Paris was run to-day, and resulted as follows : Paradox ... 1 Bellisant... ... ... 2 Present Times 3 [SPECIAL TO MELBOURNE AGE.] London, June 4. Cholera has spread from Marseilles to Valentia City, in Spain. It is reported that the British Government will in the settlement of the Afghan frontier, probably concede Akarobt, about 50 miles to the east of Zulfikar to Russia. June 13. Owing to the Ministerial crisis, the Russian squadron inLdeded for despatch to the Pacific has received orders to remain in the Baltic. From the same cause parleying on the Afghan frontier question has been suspended. The report that Kassala has fallen into the hands of the rebels is incorrect. It is expected that the Redistribution of Seats Bill will be passed through the House of Commons on Monday. °
