Scena—Madame Pauline Rita will sing “ The Bird that came in Spring,” composed expressly for her by Sir Julius Benedict, with Flute Obligato (Mr John (Radcliff.) “ Flute and voice never before heard to blend so beautifully.” Mr J. Radcliff will exhibit some of his world-renowned collection of musical instruments of ancient days, the only known instruments in the world, which instruments can only be played by Mr Radcliff, producing some of the most peculiar and exquisite music ever heard. “Auld Robin Gray” and Home Sweet Home,” as never heard before, played on the silver cylinder bass flute, the only one in existence, the tone being indescribably sympathetic and mellow. “ Ave Maria,” on prelude by J. S. Bach (Gounod), specially arranged for voice, tenor flute, piano and organ.—Madame Pauline Rita, Mr John Radcliff, and Mr George Clutsam. A sublime rendition. Interval of Ten Minutes. Pianoforte Solo, “ Caprici Hongroiso ” (Kettern), Mr George Clutsam. Mr Radcliff will exhibit and play upon Musical Instruments of the Middle Ages. Madame Rita will sing Sir Henry Bishop’s famed and charming song, “Lo, here the gentle lark,” with flute obligato (Mr J. Radcliff). Mr Radcliff will conclude his exhibition of musical instruments by showing those of the present day. Flute Solo—Fantasia on Irish Airs, with astounding intricacies, with double and treble tonguing effects, unapproachable in the annals of musical history. “Berceuse,” by Gounod—Madame Rita.
