[REUTER'S TELEGRAMS.] I'-Y KI.EUTIUC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT. FEDERATION IN CANADA. THE REBELLION IN SASKATCHEWAN (Received May 12, 1.15 a.m.) Montreal, May 10. A large and enthusiastic meeting was held here yesterday to advocate the federation of the Empire, and a branch of the Federation League was established in this city. Ottawa, May 10. Telegraphic advices have heen received from Major-General Middleton to the effect that he has inflicted a decisive defeat on the forces of the insurgents of Louis Reil, and has succeeded in relieving the settlement at Prince Albert, which was beleagured by the rebels.
