PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, STAFFORD.—A REPLY.

[to the editor.] Sir—l regret to trouble you again with an answer to the letter of the Rev. Mr Hay in your issue of the 28th inst.; but the manner in which my name has been brought up I am compelled to defend myself. In his letter he quotes a resolution, and says that it was read over in my hearing; and, further, that I seconded the said resolution. Well, sir, if there is a minute to that effect on the records of any session meeting, it is an untrue record. And he has taken the liberty of associating my name with a resolution of which I am entirely ignorant, and never, in any form or manner, gave my consent. In conclusion, it is not my intention to again trouble you on this question, as I also, as well as the Rev. Mr Hay, have laid the matter before the Presbytery of Westland for investigation.— I am, yours truly, William Coutts. Stafford, 30th March, 1885.
