T7TJMARA HOSPITAL. An ENTERTAINMENT will be given in aid of the funds of the Kumara HOSPITAL during EASTER WEEK, of which further particulars will be given in a future issue. The Hospital Fete Committee, in announcing this entertainment, beg to remind the public of Kumara and surrounding district that there has been nothing of the kind since last Easter, and it is their intention to concentrate iill their efforts to make this Annual Fete a success, for the purpose of making the Easter gathering a permanent one, and that once a year should be sufficient for all the purposes of this institution. In order to ensure this desirable end it will be necessary in the first place to ask the kind co-operation of the ladies, as the ultimate success of the undertaking will entirely depend upon their itssistance, as the main feature of the Fete will be the Fancy Goods and Curiosty Stall. To secure a supply of the necessary articles to enrich this stall, it is the intentiou of the Committee to thoroughly canvass the district about the beginning of the next month, when they will thankfully accept anything that may be offered to them, especially such elegant trifles as Collarets, Ruffles, Pigs, or Poultry. Nothing will be found too hot or too heavy for the active canvassers who have undertaken the task of collection. At the same time, nothing will be deemed too citnall or insignificant for acceptance. In conclusion, the Committee earnestly ask one and all to lay aside for this occasion all differences and disputes, and 10 unite for the one great purpose of making the Hospital Festival a grand success. P. E. WYLDE, Secretary. Kumara, March 7, 1885. PRELIMINARY NOTICE. THE ANNUAL TEA MEETING of the Kumara WESLEYAN CHURCH will be held on THURSDAY, the 2nd April, 1885.
