[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright, MURDER OF A GAOLER AND ESCAPE OF TWO PRISONERS. AUSTRALIAN WOOL MARKET. (Received March 13, 8 p.m.) Sydney, March 13. Telegrams from Coonamble, a town in the north-west of this colony, report that two prisoners in gaol there effected their escape last night, after murdering the gaoler. They have not yet been arrested. Melbourne, March 13. The Goldsborough Company limited, annual review of the wool market shows that of last season’s sales, Victoria totalled 197,000 bales, New South Wales, 109,000, and South Australia 32,000. The shipment to the Continent last season amounted to 73,000 bales, and the total shipments to 636,004; a decrease of 19,000 compared with the previous year.
