RUSSIA’S PROPOSED FRONTIER,

Her Majesty the Queen is progressing favorably, the severity of the cold from which she was suffering having considerably lessened. Arrived, at Plymouth, the P. and O. steamship Valetta, from Melbourne, Ist January. (Received February 18, 12.36 p.m.) Evening.
In connection with the Anglo-Rus-sian commission now sitting in Central Asia, information is received that Russia claims a fixed Afghan frontier at the Parapamisan Range of the Hindoo Khoosh, but that the demand was rejected by England.
