STRAY CATTLE.
[TO THE EDITOR.] Sir —Can you inform me who is responsible for the number of cows allowed to stray within the Borough at night, especially in the neighbourhood of the State School playground 1 It may be interesting to the owners to know that under a new Act they are liable to a fine of .£lO for thus allowing their cows to stray within the limits of the Borough, and that the police are liable to a fine of £5 if they fail to bring the owners to justice.— Yours, &c, Harold Krule.
