HOSPITAL COMMITTEE ELECTION.
[to the editok.] Sir—Subscribers and ticket-holders have a good opportunity of electing a Committee of good honest men who have the welfare of the Hospital at hear!; from among those gentlemen nominated. It is a well-known fact that there are some who worm themBelves into almost every committee or local body for no other purpose than that they may have pickings. The time has come wutn we must oust
those from the government of our institutions whose ([>asfe and up to the present clay) transactions have, to say the least of them, been very shady. I v ay again, it is high time the scratchback arrangement be " bust up." If the cap fits any particular individual, and he feels aggrieved ; let him challenge my assertions, and I am quite prepared to prove them.—Yours, &c., John White. Dillman's, Jan. 15, 1885. P.S.—This has no reference to the late affair between the Committee and Dr. Monckton, as I consider the Committee acted very silly all through.
