[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. ARRIVAL OF COL. STEWART ACROSS THE DESERT. GENERAL EARLE TO CAPTURE BERBER. (Received January 15, 1.5 a.m.) Cairo, January 13. Telegrams from Korti state that Colonel Sir Henry Stewart has arrived at El Matumeh, on the Nile, and within a hundred miles of Khartoum. Colonel Stewart will at once open communication with Khartoum, but no further advance takes place until General Earle has captured Berber, and arrived with the troops at El Matameh.
