An Acrostic. F riend after friend has gone before, L eaving for the land whence none return : 0 ne more has left an aching core, R iven in fondly hearts to yearn. E ven the life once prized, has faded now, N ow youth's sweet bloom has left her cheek : C oldly she lies in death, her spirit now E ntering the realms we long to seek. A h, the lesson she taught was sacred love, D ue to her God, and due by all below : A nd now she stands with him above, S ilently watching our hearts below. K neeling to God, we can follow her, 1 nthat true hope which to all is given : L eaving our sins to Christ the sin bearer, T o follow the road which led her to Heaven. 0 ver her trials, her pains, her heart burning, N ow in high Heaven, with her sister rejoicing.
