(Received January 13, 1.5 a.m.) Albany, January 12. Arrived, this morning, at King George’s Sound, the P. and 0. steamship Indus, with the inward Brindisi mails, dated London, December 12. Sydney, January 12. Bishop Selwyn, of Melanesia, who is about to visit Europe, has returned here from Brisbane. The cricket match between Shaw’s English eleven and a New South Wales team at Wollongong was concluded on Saturday, and resulted in a victory for the Englishmen. (Received January 13, noon.) Melbourne, January 13. Admiral Tryon, who is appointed to the command of the Australian station, is a passenger by the Indus, which arrived at Albany yesterday.
