[REUTER'S TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. CRICKET. ENGLISHMEN V. COMBINED AUSTRALIANS. FORTY-EIGHT HORSES FOR THE AUSTRALIAN CUP. (Received January 5, 10.10 p.m.) Melbourne, January 5. The cricket match between the English eleven and a combined Australian team was concluded here to-day, and resulted in a victory for the visitors by ten wickets. The Australians, in their second innings, only scored 125. The highest scorer to-day was Bruce, caught, 45. Forty-eight horses have entered for the Australian Cup.
