The cargo of frozen meat on board the steamship Elderslie, from Oamavu, is landed in good condition. Tenders for the Auckland loan of £25,000, at a minimum of £lO7, will be opened on the sth inst. (Received January 2, 1.5 a.m.) Madrid, December 31. Fresh disastrous shocks of earthquake were experienced on Tuesday throughout the provinces of Malaga and Granda. The latest returns show that the total number of persons killed by the previous shocks were fully two thousand. (Received January 2, 1.15 p.m.) January 1. A fresh shock of earthquake has been experienced at Granada. The inhabitants are panic stricken, and a general exodus has taken place.
