Yet another chance is offered to the sportsmen and business people of this town to form a committee to organise sports in Kumara for the Christmas holclays. A meeting of gentlemen willing to form a committee for this purpose will be held in the Town Hall this evening, at half-past eight o’clock. Ground, quite large enough at present for anything but horse races and grand cricket matches, which are just now out of the question. It is a great pleasure to have some place and time where and when one cau go and make sure of being welcomed, and of having, as it were, all the world thrown open to the family and the visitor. We trust that those persons who have any desire at all to see some really genuine sports got up in Kumara this Christmas will attend the meeting at the Town Hall to-night, and give their time and attention right heartily to the carrying out of Christmas sports in Kumara.
