KUMAR A HOSPITAL AFFAIRS.
[to the editor.]
Sir— You will oblige me by correctyour report of the proceedings of the Hospital Committee of December 3rd, 1884 which should have been as follow : I stated that the auditors had refused to audit the bonks without the subscription list, which had got mislaid ; also that the amount had been copied into the books and cash paid into the Bank; further that the Manager of the Bank required agreements to be entered into pending a fresh overdraft. I also stated it was my intention to resign my position as secretary owing to my business calling me so far from here that I was unable to look after the business of the Institution as satisfactorily as required. By inserting the above you will greatly oblige.—Yours truly, Lawrence J. Sever. Kumara, December 8, 1884.
[The report given by us was substantially correct, and we understand you have already been informed of that fact by members of the Committee. If you intended giving these reasons for resigning, you did not do so at the meeting.— Ed. K. T.]
