Booth, the Temperance reformer, has decided to visit Auckland in January, and will open his mission in New Zealand with sessional addresses there. Sailed, this afternoon, the Te Anau, for the Bluff.

The Agent-General in London has telegraphed the Government that Earl Derby, in the House of Lords, denied that the Imperial Government -were hesitating to introduce the Enabling Bill, and that he has no wish to withdraw from the pledge, and is sanguine that the measure will pass without opposition. His Lordship added that he expected to receive, in the spring, replies from the colonies to the amendment proposed in the draft of the Enabling Bill, and explained that the delay which was taking place would enable New Zealand and New South Wales to reconsider their positions, although unanimity of the colonies in the matter was unnecessary (sic).
