PROVINCIAL NEWS.
[united press association.] Wellington, November 7. The Hon. W. H. Nurse was found early this morning lying in one of the Legislative Council rooms partially insensible. Dr. Grace was at once sent for, and Mr Nurse removed to the Hospital, where he lies in rather a precarious condition. The Hinemoa, with the northern members, will probably leave to-mor-row night. Dunedin, November 6. A miner named Richard Zierney, at Bendigo, Yincent county, fell down a 70ft. shaft and lay there over four days. He was rescued in an apparently dying condition, with a broken jaw and bis head badly cut, but no other injuries. He is doing favorably in the local hospital. November 7. A fatal accident occurred on the express from Invercargill to-day at Lovells Flat station. A Mrs Peck with her family was on the train, and was shifting from one carriage to another; she had a child in her arms and three others with her. As (he train started she was on the carriage platform, when the jerk caused her-dittle boy five years old to fall between the carriages on to the line, and he was killed iustantantaneously. The body was brought on in the guard’s van.
