Auckland, November 5. The first prize in Leo's sweep was won by a printer, who also won the first prize in Ada Mantua's last Great Autumn Handicap sweep. Christchurch, November 6. The Rev. James Buller died at noon to-day. The rev. gentleman, whose name has been a household word in every Wesleyan family throughout the colony, came to New Zealand about 45 years ago, and. he has borne the burden and heat of the day in mission pioneer work. Mr Buller has been ill for some time, so that his death was not unexpected. He was in his 73rd year.
