(Received November 4, 1.35 a.m.) London, November 3. Lord Northbrook arrived iu London last evening. The report that his lordship had had an interview with M. Ferry proved to be without foundation. The disaster at the Pacific Star Theatre, Glasgow, was of a most serious nature, the number of persona injured being very large. (Received November 4, 1 p.m.) Evening, In the House of Lords to-day, Lord Granville took occasion to deny the statement current that the Khedive had wired to the Queen that Khartoum had fallen and Gordon had been made prisoner. The report to that effect is generally disbelieved. [special to press association.] London, October 30. Five new Peers have been created. Smallpox is raging at Merawai, a town a short distance below the Fourth Cataract of the Nile.
England intends to punish the marderers of Bethel (sic.) and to expel all marauders from Bechuanaland.
