WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS.
• ARAHURA RIDING NOMINATIONS. [by telephone and telegraph.] Stafford, November 4. The nomination of candidates to represent the Arahura Riding in the County Council of Westland took place at the Court House here to-day, in presence of A. E. F. Etheridge, Esq., Returning Officer for the County. James Francis Byrne was proposed by .Messrs D, B. Robertson and W. Glover. Peter Dungan was proposed by Messrs J. 0. Isbester and D. Cox. Denis Hannan was proposed Messrs James Dow and W. Madill. John M‘Whirter was proposed by Messrs James Stephens and William Williams. Richard John Seddon was proposed by Messrs Alexander Fokli and Ambrose Crebar.
