BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES DIVIDEND. (Received October 31, 10 p.m.) Sydney, October 31. In the Legislative Assembly last night, the Convention resolutions were brought up for discussion. Sir John Robertson moved the previous question, which was carried by 22 to 21, after a lengthy debate which lasted until midnight.. The due proportion of cost of estimnte towards the protectorate over New Guinea will, however, be paid by this colony. The prorogation will take place to-morrow. The Bank of New South Wales has declared a dividend for the past halfyear at the rate of 15 per cent, per annum with a bonus of per cent., and carries forward £IO,OOO to reserve.
