GOLD DUTY ABOLITION BILL.
[By Telegraph.] [from our own correspondent.] Wellington, October 11. Mr J. C. Brown’s Gold Duty Abolition Bill was on Thursday evening read a third time and passed. None of the West Coast members except the member for Greymouth were present in the House at the time. The Hon. Mr Lahman has taken charge of the bill in the Upper House, and the Government have promised to support the bill, which is certain to become law.
