Major Atkinson tendered the resignations of the Ministry on Saturday morning, and Mr Stout had an interview with his Excellency yesterday morning, which extended over three hours, and subsequently Major Atkinson visited Government House ; but it was believed that both the interviews were unofficial. A later telegram states that Mr Stout has undertaken the responsibility of forming a new administration, and was then in communication with the principal men of his own party. On the Premier’s motion the House adjourned until Tuesday, at 2.30 p.m.
