[REUTER'S TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. CRICKET. AUSTRALIANS V. PALYERS OF ENGLAND. London, Jane 30. The Australians commenced a match to-day at Sheffield against eleven of the Players of England. The following are the names of the latter :—Barlow, Bates, Briggs, Emniett, Grimshaw, Hall, Hearne, Peate, Read, Suerwin, Ulyett. There was an enormous attendance of spectators, and fine weather. Au excellent wicket had been prepared, and the ground is in first-rate order. The Homo team weut in first, and were disposed of for a total of 230 runs. The highest scorers were Bates, b, 11 ; Barlow, b, 47 ■ Ulyett, b, 76; .Hall, c, 16; Read, b, 31; Briggs, b, 12; Emmett, not out, 11. The Australians in their first innings lost three wickets for 65, when the stumps were drawn for tbe day. Murdoch, uot out, 25, and Giffen, stumped, 31, were the highest Bcorcrs.
