[united press association.] THREE PERSONS BURNED TO DEATH AT LEESTON. Chbistchurch, June 14. About 4 o'clock this morning, a fourroomed cottage at Leeslon, owned by Mr Holly, and occupied by a man named Frank Smith and his wife, was burned down. Neither were to be found and, after the fire, the debris was searched, and the charred remains of both were found, together with a third body, afterwards identified as that of William Thomson, who left the Leeston Hotel last evening, rather the worse for liquor, and went to stay at Smith's. No clue has been obtained as to the cause of the fire.
