Dr. Hassall's Report. The Analytical and Sanatory Institution, 54, Holborn Viaduct, E.C., London, 9th May, 1877. I Report on a sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Harfc. We have subjected a sample of the above-named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart's Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior article of its class, is well . auincd; fend quit 3 (Signed) Arthur H. Sir —I have the honour to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample ; of Schnapps that has yet come under my aotice. , It has a pure fragrant odour, and is J absolutely free from any trace of fusil : oil or other injurious impurity, and has | evidently been distilled from superior | rye grain, always used instead of malt I in the preduction of the choicest qualii ties of Schnapps. It is very smooth to i tl e palate, and in this respect compares ; £i7Grably with other samples offered tor ; Hale.
