BONUSES ON COLONIAL INDUS- a TRIES. i Colonial Secretary’s Office, Wellington, 2nd February, 1883. NOTICE is hereby given that the following bonuses will be paid on articles produced in the Colony of New Zealand, as under;— SILK. A bonus of fifty per cent, on the value realized for the first thousand pounds’ (LI000) worth of cocoons of the silkworm, or silkworms’ eggs, produced in tlie colony, to be paid on quantities of not less value than fifty pounds (LOO) nor more than one hundred pounds (L 100) produced by any one person. MANGANEISEN AND MANGANESEBRONZE. A bonus of five hundred pounds (L 500) will be given for the first two thousand five hundred ponnds’ (L 2500) worth of rnanganeisen, and a similar bonus for a like amount of manganesebronze, produced in the colony from New Zealand ores, and sold at a fair market price in a foreign market, MARBLE. A bonus of three hundred pounds (L 300) will be given for the first fifteen hundred pounds’ (L 1500) worth of New Zealand marble exported from the colony and sold in a foreign market at a price of not less than 9s. per cubic foot. ANTIMONY. A bonus of five hundred pounds (L 500) will be given for the first 250 tons of antimony regains, produced in the colony from New Zealand ores, and sold at a fair market price in a foreign market, CONDITIONS. 1. Notice of intention to claim any of the above bonuses must be given in writing to the Colonial Secretary not later than the 31st December, 1883. 2. The claim must be made before the 30th June, 1884. 3. The first claimant of any bonus who proves to the satisfaction of the Government that he has fulfilled all the conditions to be the recipient of the bonus. 4, The other conditions as to quantity, priority,quality, and value to be fulfilled to the satisfaction of an officer appointed for the purpose by the Government. Further information and particulars may be obtained by application at the Colonial Secretary’s office. WROUGHT-IRON. A bonus of one thousand pounds JL1000) will l)e given for the produc- 1 tion, in New Zealand, by a direct process of 200 tons of “ iron-blooms,” of marketable quality, from ore produced in New Zealand, CONDITIONS. 1. The bonus not to be given for any quantity less than 100 tons. 2, Notice of the intention to erect ironworks and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before the 31st December, 1883. 3. The bonus must be claimed before the 31st December, 1884. 4. In the event of more than one claimant giving such notice, not more than seven-tenths of (he bonus may be claimed by the (iist producer, and not more than three-tenths by the second producer; but if only one d liinant becomes a producer on the above conditions, he may claim i.be whole of the bonus. 5. The iron in respect of winch anv bonus is claime.il, ami the, o e from which it, is manufactured, will be, examined by an otlicer to be appointed by the Gov rnmenl, who may require the production of bona fide account sales of quantities not less than 100 tons weight, showing that sudt iron has been sold at a fair market price as wrought-iion, THOMAS DICK. Complaints having reached us that colonial wine bottled in the colonies in German bottles is sold in imitation of our genuine HOCKS and MOSELLES, we beg to caution the public against such fraudulent deceptions. All our labels bear our trade mark as above, in addition to the full name of our firm ; our corks are branded D. and Co. ; and our trade mark has been duly registered in the Australian colonies, and all persons fraudulently using, manufacturing, or sellihg imitations will be prosecuted as the, law directs, DEINHARD and CO.
