(Received April 15, 12.30 a.m.) London, April 13, Latest despatches to hand from Cuba report that a severe engagement has taken place between the rebels and the royal troops. The latter were victorious, and killed twenty-six insurgents. The Duke of Buccleuch is seriously ill, and no hopes are entertained of his Grace’s recovery. Per Merchant Shipping and Underwriters Association London, April 12.—Arrived, the ship Ganymede, from Tiraaru. Hong Kong, April 13. Telegrams have been received from Tonquin announcing that the French expedition had arrived at Honghoa, and at once opened a bombardment against the Chinese garrison, who offered but a slight resistance, and speedily evacuated the town.
