BONUSES 'ON' COLONIAL INDTJS- ' ; ' TRIES. Colonial Secretary's Office, Wellington, r; 2nd February, 1883. NOTICE is hereby given that the following bonuses will be paid on articles produced in the Colony of New Zealand, as under: ; — SILK. ,A; bonus of fifty per cent, on the value realized for the first thousand pounds' .(L1000) worth of cocoons of the silkworm, or. silkworms' eggs, produced in the colony, to be paid on quantities of not less value than fifty pounds (LSO). nor more than one hundred pounds (L. 100) produced by any one person. MANGANEISEN AND MANGANESE- . BRONZE. A bonus of five hundred pounds (L 500) will be given for the first two thousand five hundred ponnds' (L 2500) wdrth of manganeisen, and a similar bonus for a like amount of manganesebronze, prodnced in the colony from New Zealand ores, and sold at a "fair market'pride in a foreign market. \ ..'.' t MARBLE. A bonus of. three hundred pounds (L 300) will be given for the first fifteen hundred pounds' (L 1500) worth of New Zealand marble exported from the colony and sold in a foreign market at a price of not less than 9s. per cubic foot. ANTIMONY. A bonus of five hundred pounds (L 500) will be given for the first 250 tons of antimony regnlus, produced, in the colony from New Zealand ores, and sold at a fair market price in a foreign market. CONDITIONS. : 1. Notice of intention to claim any of the above bonuses must be given in writing to the Colonial Secretary not later than the'3lst December, 1883. • 2. The claim mast be made before the 30th June, 1884'. '-■■ 3. The first claimant of any bonus who proves to the satisfaction of the Government that he hr.s fulfilled all the conditions to be the recipient of tho bonus. 4. The otherconditions as to quantity, priority,quality, and value to be fulfilled to the satisfaction.of an officer appointed for the purpose, by the Government. A bonus of one thousand pounds •L 1000) will be given for the production, in New Zealand, by a direct processof 200 tons of " iron-blooms," of mnrketable quality, from ore produced in New. Zealand. 1. The bonus not. to be given for any quantity less than 100 tons. 2. Notice of the intention to erect ironworks and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before the 31st Decern! er, 1883. 3. The bonus must be claimed before the 31st December, 1884. 4. In the event of more than one claimant giving such notice, not more than seven-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by the first producer, and not mc-re than three-tenths by the second producer • but if only one claimant onucer on the bonus. 5. The iron in resjxct of which any bonus is ■ claimed, and the ore from which it is manufactured, will lie examined by an officer to be appointed by the Government, who m.-M r require the production of bona fide account siales of quantities not less than 100 t'ms weight, showing that such iron has been sold at a fair market price as wrought-hon.
