The contract for the Tank was signed on the 11th March, and the work is to be completed within one month, to the entire satisfaction of the Borough Council Public Works Committee, or any person whom they may appoint to superintend the work. Payment will be made of 75 per cent, on completion of the work to the satisfaction of the committee ; the remaining 25 per cent, will be paid when the Tank has been full one month and proved to be watertight.
It is intended to construct a similar Tank in Seddon street; but for the present a dam will be made in Quinn’s Creek, on the north side of Seddon street.
