ORIENT LINE OE STEAMSHIPS FOR LONDON. VIA THE SUEZ CANAL. The following full-powered Steamships, built and fitted expressly for carrying passengers on long ocean voyages, are each of about 4000 tons register, and make the voyage in about 40 days. They are fitted with Punkahs attached to the main engines, and steam-heating apparatus on the most approved principle, and are thoroughly •'entilated for the tropics : John Elder Aconcagua Chimborazo Lusitania Cuzco in London, to E. One of the Company’s steamers leaves Sydney every four weeks for Singapore md Hong Kong, under mail contract, connecting at Signapore with the Peninsula and Oriental Company, and Messageries Maritimes steamers wr ndia and Europe (via Suez). Tea and other cargo booked in Hoim Kong at through rates to all New Zeaand ports for transhipment to Union Company’s steamers at Sydney.
