KUMARA HOSPITAL. AN ENTERTAINMENT will be jtx. given in aid of the funds of the KUMARA HOSPITAL during EASTER WEEKy of which further particulars will be given in a future issue. “ Unity is Strength.” The Hospital Fete Committee beg to notify to the public of Kumara and surrounding district that they intend to have a Fancy Goods and Curiosity Stall in connection with the forthcoming Fete on Easter Monday; and, to further this object, they would most respectfully solicit donations of any articles to make up their stock for said stall. For this purpose the Committee will thoroughly canvass the district, about the end of the next month, when they will thankfully receive anything that may be offered them, in the shape of fancy goods, curiosities, wearing apparel, &c.; also anything in the shape of eatables and drinkables; in fact, they will not refuse anything excepting grindstones if over lewt., and £SO notes, unless they are Bank of England ones, which would be graciously received as curiosities. The reason why the Committee give this long notice is to give everybody a chance to overhaul their effects, to see if they could not come across some little trifle or other which they could spare, towards making the Committee’s undertaking a grand success. The Committee most particularly wish to ask the co-operation of the ladies, as the ultimate success of the undertaking will greatly depend on it ; and any ladies charitably inclined, who may be handy with the needle, will have a fine opportunity to utilise their leisure hours in making up some little fancy or useful article, if ever so small in value.
