(Received March 14, 2.20 p.m.) Melbourne, March 14 W. J. Greig, of this city, has failed for £90,000. The liabilities are chiefly outside of the colonies. He has disappeared from Melbourne, and is believed to have gone in the Lusitania, which sailed last week. (Received March 15, 1.5 a.m.) Sydney, March 14. A prize of £2OO has been offered for a match between professional -scullers. The winner to meet Hanlan, the American oarsman. Sailed this afternoon, the steamship Wairarapa, for Auckland. CRICKET.—AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN V. SOUTH AUSTRALIANS. (Received March 14, 2.20 p.m.) Adelaide, March 14. At the close of yesterday's play, the local fifteen had scored 223 for ten wickets—not 132 for five wickets, as previously wired. Noel was highest scorer, with 63. (Received March 15, 1.5 a.m.) The cricket match, Australian Eleven v. Fifteen of South Australia was continued here to-day. The home team resumed their first innings, and all were disposed of for 260 runs. The Australians then weut in, and when the stumps were drawn had lost seven wickets for 246.
