SUPREME COURT, HOKITIKA. DONOHUE REPORTED TO BE INSANE. [from our own correspondent.] Hokitika, March 10. The criminal sittings of the Supreme Cours were opened here at ten o’clock this morning by his Honour Jnrtice Williams. A large number of jurymen and witnesses were in attendance, A grand jury was empannelled, of which John Hall, Esq., Hokitika, was made foreman. The Judge then charged the jury, who retired and brought in true bills against Smith, for cattle stealing; Donohue, for murder; and Hughes and Maloney for arson. The cattle stealing case is now proceeding. It is repeated that Donohue is insane, and will therefore not be put on his trial.

A farmer named Fisher at Lobnrn, while driving a harvester, was thrown in front of the machine by the horses bolting, and the ffesh was striped off one arm in a horrible manner. New Plymouth, March 8. Joseph Flight, formerly R.M., and coroner, died to-day, aged 84.
