TAIPO BRIDGE CONTRACT WAGES PAYMENTS.

[to the editor.] Sir —In reply to Mr Pow’s letter we beg to state that we advertised to pay all wages due on Brown and Howe’s contract “as certified to by the Trustee and that for the present Henry Pow’s name is omitted from the list given to us Torn the Public Works Department in Grey mouth, on whose authority we are making these payments. As soon as we receive the necessary instructions, " - e shall pay Mr Pow the same as we are doing others; but, until then, we must decline to have anything to do with Mr Pow. Foldi and Kirkpatrick.
