We have subjected a sample of the above-named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart’s Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuiue. (Signed) Arthur H. Sir—l have the honour to report foi your information that the sample o: Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarder b} r you to me has been submitted to i searching chemical analysis and critica examination, the result of which enable: me to state that it is the finest samph of Schnapps that has yet come unde] my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and ii absolutely free from any trace of fusi oil or other injurious impurity, and hai evidently been distilled from superio: rye grain, always used instead of mal in the production of the choicest quali ties of Schnapps. It is very smooth t< the palate, and in this respect compare favorably with other samples offered to: sale.
