AN OMISSION IN THE "KETTLE OF FISH."
[to the editor.] Sir—l see by your issue of last evening that a " Nemesis " is rounding the members of the Council, who, he asserts, are sitting illegally. He appears to me to have overlooked one ftem altogether, and that is the special Auditors' report, wherein they state that BST. Seddon received £219 more than his wages; and at the sitting of the Supreme Court in April an order was Produced in Court from N. Seddon, instructing J. Wylde, Town Clerk, to bay his (N. Seddon's) money to Richard Bonn Seddon.
f Now, sir, take all the other " truckjsters," as they are termed, together, [they cannot come up to this item, why " Nemesis " should overlook it p a mystery.
| But, take "Nemesis "as a whole, I think it is a case of "wont wash." [The ratepayers of the borough know bretty well whom they have to deal with; and poor dear " Nemesis " must pot cry and rave round because the Ratepayers will not let him get his claw jinto the borough jam-pot. They canInot afford it, dear " Nemesis," just now. Wait until they have some money saved up, and then try again. And, in conclusion, dear " Nemesis," beware of Jupiter. I February 5, 1884.
