" '■' "jCrOTICiB'is hereby given that the lv' following bonuses will be paid on articles produced in the Colony of New Zealand, as under: — . :,:': . SILK. ■ A bonus of fifty per cent, on the value realized for the first thousand pounds'.(Llooo) worth of cocoons of the silkworin, or silkworms' eggs, produced in the colony, to be paid on quantities of not less value thau fifty pounds .(LSO) nor more than one hundred pounds (LI00) produced by any one persoD. MANGANEISEN AND MANGANESEBRONZE. A bonus of five hundred pounds (L 500) will be given.for the first two thousand five hundred pounds' (L 2500) worth, of manganeisen, and a similar bonus for a like amount of manganesebronze, produced in the colony from New Zealand ores, and sold at a fair market price in a foreign market. MARBLE. A bonus of. three hundred pounds (L 300) .will be given for the first fifteen hundred pounds' (L 1500) worth of New Zealand marble exported from the colony and sold in a foreign market at a price of not less than 9s. per cubic foot. ANTIMONY. A bonus of five hundred pounds (L 50.0) will be given for the first 250 tons of antimony regnlus, produced in the colony from New Zealand ores, and sold at a fair market price in a foreign market. CONDITIONS. 1. Notice of intention to claim any of the above bonuses must be given in writing to the Colonial Secretary not later than the 31st December, J 883. 2. The claim must be made before the 30th-June, ISS4. ■ 3. The first claimant of any bonus who proves to the satisfaction of the Government that he hns fulfilled all the conditions to be the recipient of the bonus. 4. The other conditions as to quantity, priority,quality, and value to be fulfilled to the satisfaction of ah officer appointed for the purpose by the Government. Further information and particulars may be obtained by application at the Colonial Secretary's office. WROUGHT-IRON. • A bonus of one thousand pounds LI000) will be given for the production, in New Zealand, by a direct process of 200 tons of " iron-blooms," of murketable quality, from ore produced in New Zealand. CONDITIONS. 1. The bonus not to be given for any quautity less than 100 tons. 2. Notice of the intention to erect ironworks and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before the 31st December, ISB3. 3. The bonus must be claimed before the 31st December, 1884. 4. In the event of more than one claimant giving such notice, not more than seven-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by the first'producer, and not more than three-tenths by . the second producer; but if only one claimant becomes'a producer on the above conditions, he may claim the whole of the bonus. 5. The iron in respect of which any bonus is claimed, and the ore from which it is manufactured, will be examined by an officer to be appointed by the Government, who may inquire the production of bona fide account sales of quantities not less than 100 tons weight, showing that such iron has been sold at a fair market price as wrought-iron.
