On the motion of Cr. Simmons, seconded by the Mayor, the Public "Works Commmittee were instructed to inspect and report to next meeting of of the Council as to lepairs required to Town Hall. Cr. Simmons also moved—" That the Public Works Committee report to the Council at its next meeting as to the number, length, and width of streets and footpaths-formed and mettled, requiring to be kept in repair." Cr. Rudkin moved for an amendment by adding the words " that tenders be called for gravel in the meantime.'* The amendment was seconded by the Mayor, added to the previous motion, and then carried.
