GOLD-MINING LEASES FORFEITED AND CANCELLED.
+ A notice from the Mines Department, issued under the hand of the Minister of Mines, dated Wellington, 9th June, 1883, declares that, in consequence of non-payment of rent and other causes, his Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the gold-mining leases, or applications for gold-mining leases, the particulars of which are set forth in the Schedule hereto, forfeited and cancelled, and that the ground held under such leases or applications is, so far as the said leases or applications are concerned, but without prejudice to any other rights or interests which may affect the same, open for application under “ The Mines Act, 1877,” and any rules and regulations made thereunder. The following is the Schedule referred to:— Owen Parry and others; 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Taipo; No. D2. William Smith and others; 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Taipo. No. D 3. A. Little and another; 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Mount Graham. No. D 4. J. O’Regan and another; 14 acres 1 rood 28 perches, Mount Graham. No. D 5. Henry Young;. 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Taipo. No. D 6. T. Bath and others; 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Mount Graham. No. D 7. J. Craig and others; 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Mount Graham. No. DB. Charles Hill and others; 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Mount Graham. No. D 9. A. Benard and others; 16 acres 2 roods 4 perches, Mount Graham. No. DIO. A. M‘Pherson and Co.; 2 acres, Dunganville.
