WARDEN’S COURT, GREENSTONE.

Friday, April 27. [Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., Warden.] SUITS. Quealey and party, sued Dwyer and party for cancellation of head-race 3443.—Mr R. J. Seddon appeared for plaintiffs; Mr D. Hannan for defendants. On application being made, the Warden visited the ground and inspected the races and dams in dispute.—The Court held that head-race 3443 did not include the portion of race in dispute. Case dismissed; each party to pay their own costs. Dwyer and party sued Quealey and party for cancellation of dam No, 16300, and head-race 3559; also for damages for loss of water, £93.—Mr Hannan for plaintiffs ; Mr Seddon for defendants. The count for damages was withdrawn on the Court expressing an opinion that the claim for damages could not be maintained. On the application of the defendants, the further hearing of the case was postponed until the 25 th May. Three other suits, in which the same parties were plaintiffs and defendants, were also adjourned until the 25th May. APPLICATIONS. Ryan and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for an extended claim on Dnke’s Terrace.—Granted. Candy and party applied for a doublearea claim on Duke’s Terrace.—Granted. The same party also applied for a tail-race, which was also granted. James Malloy, by his agent Mr R. J. Seddon, applied for registration of lapsed head-race on Duke’s Terrace. — Granted. Ah Nan and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for a tail-race in Greenstone Creek. —Granted. Ah Kee and party, by their agent Mr R. J. Seddon, applied for a headrace in Greenstone Creek.—Granted. Ah Young and party, by their agent Mr R. J, Seddon, applied for a diversion of Greenstone Creek, east of Marsden Road bridge.—Granted. Ah Sue and party, by their agent Mr R. J. Seddon, applied for a tailrace in Greenstone Creek, above Sum Turn and party’s claim.—Granted. Ah Kee and party, by their agent Mr R, J. Seddon, applied for the registration of a head-race in Greenstone Creek, near the Reef Bluff.—Granted. Ah Wy and party, by their agent Mr R. J. Seddon, applied for a tail-race in Greenstone Creek, opposite Moore’s hut.—Granted. Quealey and party, by their agent Mr R. J. Seddon, applied for a tail-race in Duke’s Terrace.—Granted. David Steel, by his agent, Mr R. J. Seddon, applied to register one headrace, two dams, a tunnel, and doublearea claim on Taylor’s Terrace, oppoMaori Point.—Granted.
