HOSPITAL ENTERTAINMENT.

[to the editor.] Sir—The old adage "The farther you go from home for actors and music the worse you may find it for the charity you wish to benefit" will, I think, apply to what is proposed for Easter. In this community of ours there are a number of young lady and gentlemen amateurs who not only possess the talent but the willingness to forward all objects of charity. To go from home for that we possess on the spot is neither complimentary, nor conserving the funds of the district.—l am, &c. Observer. Larrikin's Terrace, March 15, 1883.
